Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Beijing
Meals included: Null
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Beijing (centrally located)
Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport. Then be transferred to your hotel in the city center. Free and easy for the rest of the day. You will stay in Beijing for 3 nights.
Day 2 Beijing
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Peking Roasted Duck Dinner.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Beijing (centrally located)
After breakfast, you will walk on Tian’anmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Covering an area of 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events. Then, you will discover the Forbidden City (closed on Mondays), one of the five most famous palaces in the world, where the 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years.
Lunch will consist of a local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, you will drive to visit the largest and best-preserved imperial garden, the Summer Palace. Built in the late Qing Dynasty as a summer resort for Empress Dowager Cixi, it was designed based on the famous West Lake and incorporates techniques from private gardens in the south of the Yangtze River.
Tonight, we will treat you to a local specialty, with the best Peking Roasted Duck Dinner as the welcome dinner.
Day 3 Beijing

Lunch will feature a local Chinese meal.
After lunch, you will drive back to the downtown area. On the way, you will enjoy a bus tour of the “Bird’s Nest” and the “Water Cube,” iconic structures from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Later this afternoon, we will treat you to a fantastic and entertaining acrobatic show at the renowned Red Theatre. Acrobatics, considered the quintessence of Chinese culture, boasts a history of over 2,000 years.
After the show, you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 4 Beijing – Xi’an (By Bullet Train)
Special activity: Leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong

After breakfast, we will take you to visit the famous Houhai Park, a small glimpse into the daily lives of locals. Typically, locals gather here every day to exercise, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about local life. Next, we will drive to the iconic Temple of Heaven, Beijing’s landmark. This historical site was served as the place to pray for good harvests and conduct Heaven Worshiping ceremonies by the emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties. Following that, we will embark on a leisurely rickshaw tour through Beijing’s Hutongs, where you will have the chance to see the original residences of local people and experience their lifestyle.
Then drive to the railway station for the bullet train to the ancient legendary city Xi’an (around 5.5 hours). It is absolutely an unforgettable travel experience of A Tale of Two Cities in One Day. Enjoy the comfortable and modern facilities on the fastest train in China as well as the landscape on the way. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel.You will stay in Xi’an for 2 nights.
Day 5 Xi’an

After breakfast, embark on your full-day tour of the ancient city. Your first stop will be the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors and Horses. This remarkable archaeological site was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang’s tomb and protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that over 7,000 life-size terracotta figures and horses are buried here.
Lunch will be a traditional Chinese meal.
This afternoon, visit the city’s iconic landmark, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built during the Tang Dynasty, this square pyramid-shaped structure stands 60 meters tall and has seven stories. It was constructed to house the Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by the famous monk Xuanzang. His story was later immortalized in the classic novel Journey to the West. Following that, visit the Grand Mosque, a time-honored and large-scale architectural complex, which showcases the interplay between Islamic faith and Chinese culture. Your final stop will be the famous Muslim Quarter, where you can sample local delicacies.
Day 6 Xi’an – Zhangjiajie (By Air)
Special activity: Cycling on Ancient City Wall
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Zhangjiajie (close to the forest park)
After breakfast, drive to visit the Ancient City Wall that was built in Ming Dynasty with a history over 600 years and might be the largest and best-preserved city wall in China. You will take a interesting cycling tour on the massive city wall. Then visit the Square of Bell and Drum Tower where you can see the well-preserved ancient Bell and Drum Tower of Ming Dynasty (Outside visiting only). After that, visit the Former Residence of Family Gao. It is famous for its well-preserved typical historical residence with courtyard. You will also enjoy a traditional puppet show here.
Lunch will be served with the famous Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant that was established in 1,936.It’s one of the most famous dumpling restaurants in Xi’an.
This afternoon, continue on to visit the famous Xi’an Museum. As a national first-class museum, it is a comprehensive local museum that integrates cultural relics collection, scientific research, social education, and garden leisure. It comprises three main parts: the Museum itself, the Tang Jianfusi Site, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Currently, the Xi’an Museum boasts a collection of 111,928 items/sets, among which 11,029 are classified as valuable relics. It serves as an excellent venue for understanding ancient Chinese history, culture, economy, and the development of capital cities.
After the tour, drive to the airport for the departure flight to the fairyland Zhangjiajie that is known for its fantastic peak-forest landform. Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the railway station and escort you to the hotel. Overnight in Chengdu.
Day 7 Zhangjiajie

This morning, drive to visit the famous Wulingyuan Scenic Area. It has been inscribed as the World Natural Heritage by UNESCO for its typical sandstone forest landform. Tianzi Mountain (single way cable car incl.) features the original scenery and natural beauty. Yuanjiajie(single way cable car incl.) features the thousands of peaks with various shape. You will also visit the fantastic “Halleluiah Mountain”and explore the scenery with your own eye and ear. You will take a cable car down and enjoy the fascinating landscapes. World Bridge, a natural stone bridge with depth of 4 m, which connects two peaks directly. It is also the highest stone bridge in Zhangjiajie. Ecstasy Station is absolutely a magical place. Every step makes a different scenery before you. Ten_Li Gallery is around 5 km long where you will take sightseeing train to enjoy its fantastic scenery.
Day 8 Zhangjiajie

Today, continue to explore other famous attractions of Zhangjiajie National Park. Firstly visit Golden Whip Stream which is considered to be the most beautiful section in Zhangjiajie. The total length of the stream is around 7km. You will spend around 2-3 hours walking in the section and enjoy the fascinating natural views. Huangshi Fort is one of the TOP 5 tours in Zhangjiajie. With a altitude of 1200m, Huangshi Fort is surrounded by the steep cliff in every side. It is also the largest and best observation platform to enjoy the typical sandstone forest land form. You will take the cable car up and down the site.
Day 9 Zhangjiajie – Guilin (By Bullet Train)

Early this morning, drive to the railway station and take the bullet train to Guilin which features for its picturesque landscapes and well-preserved ancient town. It takes around 7 hours (around 600 km) for the train ride from Zhangjiajie to Guilin. Enjoy the scenery along the way.
Lunch will be on your own expense on the train.
Up on arrival, be picked up and transferred to visit the famous Fobo Hill. Nestled along the banks of the Lijiang River in Guilin, it stands as an isolated peak embraced by the waters. It was named after the legendary Han Dynasty general, Ma Yuan, who passed through this area during his southern campaigns as the “Wave-Subduing General.” In the Tang Dynasty, a shrine dedicated to General Ma Yuan, known as the Fubo General Pavilion, was constructed on the hill. Today, Fubo Hill boasts numerous attractions such as the Guishui Pavilion, Tingtao Pavilion, Banshan Pavilion, Huanzhu Cave (Return Pearl Cave), a self-portrait of the famous calligrapher Mi Fu, the Sword Testing Stone, Coral Rock, and Thousand-Buddha Grottoes. The scenery here is exquisite, with fascinating caves and unique geological formations. Ascending the stone steps to the west leads to Banshan Pavilion and the summit, where one can gaze out over the breathtakingly picturesque landscape of Guilin’s crystal-clear water and mountains.
Dinner will be served with local Chinese food. After dinner, drive to check-in at your hotel for relaxing. Overnight in Guilin.
Day 10 Guilin – Yangshuo
Special activity: Bamboo Rafting down the Lijiang River (Yangdi-Xingping), Enjoy sunset on Wuzhishan Hill

This morning after breakfast, drive to Yangdi Pier where you will take the leisurely and interesting bamboo rafting downstream the Lijiang River to Xingping Ancient Town. It takes around 3 hours on the rafting, you can enjoy the fascinating natural view along the Lijiang River and the beautiful countryside. Then visit the ancient town Xingping, a stunning pearl on Lijiang River, which is featured the well-preserved the typical former residence, big old banyan trees, flagging streets. It is considered to be the most beautiful ancient town on Lijiang River. After that, drive to Yangshuo and stroll around the famous Yangshuo West Street. continue on to visit the vivid Wuzhishan Hill (Five Fingers Hill) that is considered to be the best site to enjoy the sunset of Lijiang River (depending on the weather).After the tour, drive to check-in at your hotel in Yangshuo.
Day 11 Yangshuo – Guilin – Shanghai (By Air)
Special activity: Cycling in the countryside in Yangshuo (1 hour)
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.

This morning, you will take an interesting cycling (1 hour) in the countryside in Yangshuo and explore the beautiful view there.Then drive back to visit the typical karst landform-Reed Flute Cave that is considered to the Art of Nature Museum.The last stop today is the landmark of Guilin-Elephant Trunk Hill. Elevated at 200m, Elephant Truck Hill rises 55m above water surface and measures 108m in length and 100m in width. Lunch will be served with local Chinese food during the trip.
After the tour, drive to the airport for the departure flight to financial center of China, Shanghai. Once there, be picked up and transfer to the hotel.You will stay in Shanghai for 2 nights.
Day 12 Shanghai
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Special Lunch at LULU Restaurant
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Shanghai (close to the Bund)
After breakfast, start your full day tour to explore the metropolis. Shanghai Museum(closed on Monday), one of the TOP 3 museums in China, which features the large collection of bronze articles and rich collections. It’s a good place to learn the history and culture of China. Then stroll around the romantic place the Bund which is a famous waterfront with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles. You can enjoy a beautiful skyline of the city here.
Lunch will be served with the authentic Shanghai cuisine at the famous LULU Restaurant which was opened since 1985.It is highly recommended by the local Shanghaiese.
This afternoon, continue on your city tour. Yu Garden, the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D, which is reputed as the “Stunning Pearl” of Shanghai. Stroll around the close-by bustling Yuyuan Bazaar where you can do some shopping with the little gifts. You will also taste the delicious street food-Long Xiang Baozi (steamed stuffed-bun). After that, stroll around the famous Tianzifang. The place, a very popular site for tourists in Shanghai, which was renovated from the local Stone-Arched House into the trendy boutiques stores, bars, restaurants as well as art studios. Dinner will be on your own expense.
After the tour, drive back to the hotel.
Day 13 Departure from Shanghai

This morning drive around Lujiazui Financial Zone that is considered to the “Wall Street of China” as many international banks and financial organizations gathered here.Then visit the New landmark of Shanghai, Shanghai Tower. With the total height of 632m, it is ranked NO.1 tallest building in China. You will take a high speed elevator up the 118 F Observation Hall where you can get a great bird view of the metropolis.
After the tour, transfer to the airport for homeward flight(we suggest you book the homeward flight with departure time after 4:00pm). End your memorable trip in China.
