Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Beijing
Meals included: Null
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Beijing (centrally located)
Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport. Then be transferred to your hotel in the city center. Free and easy for the rest of the day. You will stay in Beijing for 3 nights.
Day 2 Beijing
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Peking Roasted Duck Dinner.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Beijing (centrally located)
After enjoying the breakfast you will walk on Tian’anmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 44,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then discover the Forbidden City(closed on Monday), one of the five most famous palaces in the world where the 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, drive to visit the largest and best preserved imperial garden, The Summer Palace, which was built in late Qing Dynasty as the summer resort for the Empress Dowager Cixi. It’s built according to the famous West Lake and designed with the technique of private gardens in South of Yangtze River.
Tonight, we will arrange you with the local specialty with the best Peking Roasted Duck Dinner as the welcome dinner.
Day 3 Beijing – Mutianyu Great Wall
Night Show: Acrobatic Show at Red Theatre

This morning, be transferred to visit the world famous Great Wall (Mutianyu Section) which is listed among the 8 wonders in the world as well as the World Cultural Heritage. The Great Wall is one of the most important military defense facilities in ancient China, which is used to limit the movement of enemy cavalry, protect national security and the stability of people’s production and life.The section is the highlight of the Great Wall. You will take a leisurely cable car (round way) up and down the Great Wall, and explore the incredible great building of human being.
Lunch is arranged with the local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, drive back to the downtown. On the way, you will take a look at the “Bird Nest” and “Water Cube”which are the representative buildings of Olympic Games Beijing 2008 on the bus.
Late this afternoon, we will arrange you with the fantastic and interesting Acrobatic Show at the famous Red Theatre. Acrobatic is considered to be the quintessence of Chinese culture with over 2,000 years.
Day 4 Beijing – Xi’an (By Bullet Train)
Special activity: Leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong

It’s day 4 of your China tour. After breakfast, we will take you to visit the famous Houhai Park, a little slice of how locals live. Normally the locals exercise every day — it’s a good way to know local life. We then drive to visit the famous Temple of Heaven, the landmark of Beijing, which was used to pray for good harvest and hold the Heaven Worshiping Ceremony by the emperors in Ming and Qing dynasty. We then take you on a leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong. You will have the chance to see the original residence of the local people and experience their lifestyle. Here is where we make time for lunch.
After lunch, transfer to the railway station and take the bullet train– the fastest rail in China, amazing. It takes around 5.5 hours on the way, the perfect amount of time to enjoy China’s landscapes on the way to the ancient city Xi’an. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our local guide and escorted to your hotel for your 2-night stay in Xi’an.
Day 5 Xi’an
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

After breakfast, start your full day tour in the ancient city. Firstly visit the well-known Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The Terracotta Army was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang’s tomb and to protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that there are over 7,000 life-size Terra-cottar figures and horses buried here.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal.
This afternoon visit the landmark of the city-Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the square pyramid stands at 60 meters high and seven-story tall. It was built to restore the Buddhist scriptures brought by the famous Monk Xuanzang. The story had been rewritten to a famous classic novel, <The Journey to West > . After that, visit the Grand Mosque. It is a time-honored and large-scale architecture complex, which shows the interpenetration between Islamic belief and Chinese culture. The last stop is the famous Muslim Quarters where you can taste the local delicious snacks.
Day 6 Xi’an – Guilin (By Air)
Special activity: Cycling on Ancient City Wall.
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Guilin (downtown area)
After breakfast, drive to visit the Ancient City Wall, which was built in Ming Dynasty with a history over 600 years and might be the largest and best-preserved city wall in China. You will take a interesting cycling tour on the massive city wall. Then visit the Square of Bell and Drum Tower where you can see the well-preserved ancient Bell and Drum Tower of Ming Dynasty (Outside visiting only). After that, visit the Former Residence of Family Gao. It is famous for its well-preserved typical historical residence with courtyard. You will also enjoy a traditional puppet show here.
Lunch will be served the famous Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant which was established in 1,936.It’s one of the most famous dumpling restaurants in Xi’an.
After the tour, drive to the airport for the departure flight to the fairyland city Guilin which features for the fascinating landscapes and beautiful countryside. Overnight in Guilin.
Day 7 Guilin – Xingping – Yanshuo
Special activity: Bamboo Rafting down the Li River (Yangdi-Xingping), enjoy the sunset on Wuzhishan Hill
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Yangshuo
This morning after breakfast, drive to Yangdi Pier where you will take the leisurely and interesting bamboo rafting down the Li River to Xingping Ancient Town.It takes around 3 hours on the rafting, you can enjoy the fascinating natural view along the Li River and the beautiful countryside. Then visit the ancient town Xingping, a stunning pearl on Li River, which is featured the well-preserved the typical former residence, big old banyan trees, flagging streets. It is considered to be the most beautiful ancient town on Li River. After that, drive to Yangshuo and stroll around the famous Yangshuo West Street. Continue to visit the vivid Wuzhishan Hill (Five Fingers Hill) which is considered to be the best site to enjoy the sunset of Li River (depending on the weather).After the tour, drive to check-in at your hotel. Overnight at Yangshuo.
Day 8 Yangshuo – Guilin – Hangzhou (By Air)
Special activity: Cycling in the countryside in Yangshuo (1 hour)
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.

This morning, you will take an interesting cycling (1 hour) in the countryside in Yangshuo and explore the beautiful view there.Then drive back to visit the typical karst landform-Reed Flute Cave which is considered to the Art of Nature Museum.The last stop today is the landmark of Guilin-Elephant Trunk Hill. Elevated at 200m, Elephant Truck Hill rises 55m above water surface and measures 108m in length and 100m in width. Lunch will be served with local Chinese food during the trip.
After the tour, drive to the airport for the romantic and poetic city, Hangzhou. Once there, be picked up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Hangzhou.
Day 9 Hangzhou
Special activities: Boat trip on West Lake
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Special Lunch at Weizhuang Restaurant

After breakfast, you will spend a full day to explore the fascinating views of the “City of Heaven”. Firstly, a stroll along the famous Bai Causeway, one of the top 3 causeways on the West Lake. Then visit the famous Quyuanfenghe Park which is actually a lovely pond connected with West Lake, it’s known for the beautiful large areas of green lotus. We then continue to take a leisurely boat trip on West Lake and enjoy the picturesque lake view.
Lunch of authentic Hangzhou cuisine will be served at the lake-side Weizhuang Restaurant.
This afternoon, drive to visit the well-known Lingyin Temple, also known as Template of the Soul’s Retreat. It was originally built in 326 A.D. in East Jin Dynasty. It is one of the largest and richest Buddhist temples in China. From here we visit the Fling Peak, it is famous for the hundreds of Buddhist sculptures and natural caves — a holy gravity that you have to feel to believe. continue to visit the famous Longjing Tea Plantation in Meijiawu Village where the best green tea in China are planted. Tea was founded by the Chinese and this is a special place for all tea lovers. The last stop of the day is the Huqingyutang Chinese Medicine Museum. The city tour will take you across the busy Hefang Street to the museum where you can learn more about traditional Chinese Medicine.
Day 10 Hangzhou – Wuzhen – Suzhou

Today say “Goodbye to Hangzhou” and drive to visit the famous water town Wuzhen, it features the ancient stone bridges, flagging streets, well-preserved Qing Dynasty style residences, water chambers, and traditional Chinese lifestyle. It is considered as one of the top 6 Water Towns in South of Yangtze River. Upon arrival, you will visit a traditional dying Workshop along with a Wine Workshop, Chinese Old Bed Museum, China Traditional Folkways Museum, Puppet Show in the Old Theater. It’s a busy morning.
Lunch will be served with Chinese meal inside the water town. After Lunch, drive to the famous city of gardens and waterways, Suzhou. Overnight in Suzhou.
Day 11 Suzhou – Shanghai (By Bullet Train)
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Shanghai (close to the Bund)
After breakfast, you will spend a full day exploring the “City of Waterways and Gardens”, Suzhou. Firstly visit Humble Administrator’s Garden which was originally built in 1509 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is listed as one of the top 4 gardens in China and was initially a private garden of a former government official. Water is the major theme of the garden and its scenery includes small forests, hills and rock formations, man-made pavilions, halls and parlors. Then visit Panmen Gate, which is the only gate for both the land and water. Standing on the gate, you will see the famous Grand Canal– stunning. After witnessing the view, we’re sure you’ll want to fill up your empty stomach. Lunch is served.
In the afternoon, we’re set to visit the unique Suzhou Museum(close on Monday) which was designed with the style of private garden in Suzhou. In the museum, you will see the Chinese Paintings, traditional furniture, ceramic articles of Ming and Qing dynasties and local handicrafts. Continuing on we visit the ancient historic street, Shantang Historical Street. The section features the stone flagging road, well-preserved typical residents, slim lanes and river.
After the tour in Suzhou, drive to the railway station and take the bullet train to the financial center of China, Shanghai. You will stay in Shanghai for 2 nights.
Day 12 Shanghai
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Special Lunch at Lulu Restaurant
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Shanghai (close to the Bund)
Today, your full day city tour starts from the famous Shanghai Museum(closed on Monday), one of the TOP 3 museums in China, which features the large collection of bronze articles and rich collections. It’s a good place to learn the history and culture of China. Then stroll around the romantic place the Bund which is a famous waterfront with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles. You can enjoy a beautiful skyline of the city here.
Lunch will be served with the authentic Shanghai cuisine at the famous LULU Restaurant which was opened since 1985.It is highly recommended by the local Shanghaiese.
This afternoon, continue to visit the famous Yu Garden which is the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D. It is reputed as the “Stunning Pearl” of Shanghai. Stroll around the close-by bustling Yuyuan Bazaar where you can do some shopping with the little gifts.You will also taste the delicious street food-Long Xiang Baozi (steamed stuffed-bun). After that, stroll around the famous Tianzifang, a very popular site for tourists in Shanghai, which was renovated from the local Stone-Arched House into the trendy boutiques stores, bars, restaurants as well as art studios.
Day 13 Departure from Shanghai

This morning, drive around Lujiazui Financial Zone which is considered to the “Wall Street of China” as many international banks and financial organizations gathered here.Then visit the New landmark of Shanghai, Shanghai Tower. With the total height of 632m, it is ranked NO.1 tallest building in China. You will take a high speed elevator up the 118 F Observation Hall where you can get a great bird view of the metropolis.
After the tour, drive to the airport for homeward flight (we suggest you book the return flight with departure time after 4:00pm). End your memorable trip in China.
