Malaysia Accommodation Guide

  1. Hotels in Kuala Lumpur City Center
Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, is home to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, a wide variety of shopping options, and diverse dining venues.

If you want to experience the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of Kuala Lumpur, you can choose to stay in hotels located in the city center. These hotels usually offer comprehensive facilities and convenient transportation options.

  1. Sabah Beach Resorts
Sabah is a renowned beach destination in Malaysia, offering stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters that provide a unique vacation experience. You can choose a seaside resort to enjoy the sun, sand, and waves.

  2. Cameron Highlands Hotels
Cameron Highlands is Malaysia’s largest highland resort and a popular summer retreat with a cool and pleasant climate. The hotels here are often nestled amidst lush forests, offering a tranquil environment, making them ideal places to relax and unwind.

  3. Sarawak Eco-Lodges
Sarawak is a land rich in natural resources, with two-thirds of its area covered by dense tropical rainforests. It is an ideal destination for eco-friendly accommodations and leisurely getaways.

In Sarawak, there is a traditional architectural style called the longhouse. The length of a longhouse varies, ranging from tens of meters to over a hundred meters. These longhouses are often built along rivers, and their length symbolizes the size of the family or community. To give visitors a better experience of local life, some longhouses in Sarawak offer homestay services. Here, you can immerse yourself in the cultural lifestyle of traditional longhouses and participate in the daily routines of the indigenous people. You will live surrounded by pristine rainforests within all-wooden structures and experience communal living in compartmentalized rooms and traditional cooking experiences with meals prepared with natural ingredients sourced locally.

In Sarawak’s rainforest resorts, there are also treehouses built among the treetops, making you feel as though you are one with the forest. These treehouses allow you to get up close to birds and monkeys, with the occasional sound of birdsong filling your ears.

  1. Century-Old Houses in Historic and Culturally Significant Cities
Ipoh, known as a historic and culturally significant city in Malaysia and dubbed the “Capital of Tin and Rice”, is home to many buildings with decades or even centuries of history. Among them, the Sarang Paloh Heritage Stay Hotel stands out as an excellent choice. Staying there feels like stepping back into the Nanyang region a hundred years ago.

Penang, an island in northwestern Malaysia, has evolved into a cultural melting pot over the years as various ethnic groups formed their communities here. This rich history is reflected in its architecture, which blends Chinese and Western styles, showcasing Penang as a symbol of cultural diversity over the past century. Some of these historic mansions have been transformed into boutique hotels. If you’re interested, staying in one of these heritage hotels will offer a unique and immersive experience.

Malacca is a city with a long history, preserving many ancient buildings and cultural heritage sites. For example, the famous Hotel Puri is a century-old mansion once owned by a Chinese Peranakan family in the Nanyang region. It also served as a filming location for the TV series “The Little Nyonya”. Staying in this traditional three-hall, two-story house allows you to immerse yourself in the stories of Nanyang from years gone by.

China Essence with Natural Wonders Exploration

May 05th, 2026, Couple

We traveled to China during 05th May to 17th May, 2026. Here goes our comment.

Guilin & Yangshuo:

Mr. Tom was an excellent guide in every aspect. He made every experience a great adventure and beyond. With his energy and knowledge, he adjusted the schedule with extra activities such as visiting the pandas, which made it extra special. He is good at explaining everything in a clear and succinct way, since much is guiding us, we loved our time in China and couldn’t have done it without Tom. He is also frequently offering helpful knowledge we very much appreciated. He also took great pictures of us. Mr. Kong, the driver is very courteous & flexible.

Zhangjiajie, Furong & Fenghuang town:

Allen is a capable and smart guide who has an optimistic and patient personality. We feel fortunate to have her. She is very good at arranging the schedule and navigating the towns’ sights in an efficient manner. We appreciate her help to negotiate with the photographer and provide us good seats and advice. The driver Mr. Lee is a safe & excellent driver who is courteous to us, other drivers and pedestrians. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Zhengzhou area. The hotel was excellent!

Beijing:

Ray Liu is a very knowledgeable and smart guide with excellent English. We learned a lot from him about Chinese history, culture, and current life. He is on time and capable. He shared with us a lot of interesting facts and information, and it was easy to talk to him because he is friendly, talkative and has fluent English. Ray knows his way around & got us everywhere, and it was nice there was a charge port in the back. He can be more courteous to bikers & pedestrians, but we got everywhere safely.

This is the second time we plan a trip with Best Asia Tours and we love their service and attention to detail as well as their willingness to make your trip memorable and anything you want possible. Their planning is impecable and very efficient and if anything is not as you expected they will work to make sure it is. we did a 21 day itinerary for 7 including 2 grandmas back on 2018 and we just went back a couple of weeks ago with our daughter for 12 days and had an awesome time. We are already planning the next one. Zoe and Eric who had help us with the travel planning were both amazing their speed to comeback with the itineraries and changes is impressive and not matter how many times you ask them to look at changes or different hotels etc they are always willing to help with the most wonderful attitude . Classic Japan Tour, Tokyo, Mt.Fuji, Osaka, Kyoto

Aug 2025

Best Asia Tours did a really good job planning our itinerary in Japan. Some times we had issues coming up I think mostly related to cultural differences, but our agent was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were comfortable and the trip was perfect. The hotels are centrally located, very easy to access to the city center. The guide and driver are friendly and nice. We spend a pleasant and amazing journey there.
