Ulaanbaatar experiences distinct seasons with significant temperature differences both throughout the year and between day and night, so it’s important to be prepared for changing conditions.

During summer (July to August), Ulaanbaatar enjoys plenty of sunshine and relatively high temperatures, averaging around 20°C. It’s the ideal time to explore the city and venture out to the grasslands. However, the UV index can be strong during the day, and windy conditions may bring dust, so consider bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, and a face mask.
