Krabi

Krabi, located in southern Thailand near the Andaman Sea, is a tropical peninsula that feels like paradise, earning it the nickname “Emerald of the Andaman Sea”. Krabi is home to many picturesque islands and a rich local culture, as well as a diverse array of flora and fauna, including the renowned birds, toads, and coral reefs found in the area.

  1. Weather
Krabi experiences warm weather year-round. The dry season from November to April sees little rainfall and plenty of sunshine, making it ideal for outdoor activities, so it’s the peak tourist season. From May to October, the rainy season brings more rain, but it doesn’t rain every day.

  2. Popular Attractions
Phi Phi Islands: Accessible by boat from Krabi, this archipelago is ranked among the top ten most beautiful islands in the world. With crystal-clear blue waters, unique rock formations, silvery sandy beaches, and vibrant coral reefs, visitors can swim in the azure waves, snorkel in the underwater world, and admire colorful corals and diverse marine life.

Maya Bay: Maya Bay is one of the most renowned attractions on Phi Phi Bay and an important filming location for the Hollywood film “The Beach”. It is accessible by boat from Phi Phi Island or other islands. Reputed to be “Lovers’ Beach”, it is a serene bay surrounded by mountains on three sides. When the tide goes out, a soft, pristine white sand beach emerges. People walking on it feel like walking on a fluffy blanket, very comfortable. The clear blue water and the charming coconut trees lining the shore create a romantic tropical island atmosphere.

Ao Nang Beach: One of the busiest and most famous beaches in Krabi, Ao Nang features soft, white sand and stunning limestone mountains as a backdrop. This vibrant area offers convenient amenities and transportation options, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing yet lively holiday while soaking in the natural beauty and a variety of exciting activities.

Krabi Cliffs: A pair of towering rocks stand on either side of the Krabi River, beneath which lies a cave filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and natural wonders.

Tiger Cave Temple: One of Thailand’s famous natural attractions, this site is surrounded by lush forests, with ancient temples hidden within jungle caves. In addition to exploring the temple, you can climb the 1,237 steps to reach the 600-meter-high karst peak for a breathtaking panoramic view of Krabi.

Thung Teao Forest National Park: One of the most famous parks in the Krabi region, it’s a paradise for photographers and a must-visit for nature and outdoor enthusiasts. The park features ancient lowland forests, stunning waterfalls, and natural hot springs, as well as emerald pools perfect for swimming. Hikers can stroll along the natural trails, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the chance to encounter a variety of wildlife along the way.

Chaofa Park: A city park that was once Krabi’s main ferry port, it offers visitors a chance to explore the historical sites and cultural characteristics of the area.

  1. Night Markets
Krabi Walking Street: It is a famous and popular night market that opens every weekend, attracting visitors from afar to hunt for clothes, souvenirs, and delicious food. Along this bustling street, dozens of neatly arranged stalls feature vendors eagerly showcasing their wares, including exquisite handicrafts, quirky T-shirts, jewelry, keychains, and wall art. In the evening breeze, you can savor unique local dishes as you stroll from one end of the street to the other, all while enjoying various cultural and artistic performances.

Chaofa Night Market: Located within Chaofa Park, this night market features numerous food vendors offering fresh produce, cooked dishes, desserts, and drinks.

  1. Transportation Guide
In Krabi, you can get around using songthaews (shared taxis). For groups or those seeking more convenience, consider hiring a private car or renting a vehicle for your travels.

This is the second time we plan a trip with Best Asia Tours and we love their service and attention to detail as well as their willingness to make your trip memorable and anything you want possible. Their planning is impecable and very efficient and if anything is not as you expected they will work to make sure it is. we did a 21 day itinerary for 7 including 2 grandmas back on 2018 and we just went back a couple of weeks ago with our daughter for 12 days and had an awesome time. We are already planning the next one. Zoe and Eric who had help us with the travel planning were both amazing their speed to comeback with the itineraries and changes is impressive and not matter how many times you ask them to look at changes or different hotels etc they are always willing to help with the most wonderful attitude . All the guides we had on the different cities and regions have be incredible . I can not recommend them enough. I have traveled al over the world and they are definitively on the top service of the agencies I had used.

Best Asia Tours did a really good job planning our itinerary in Japan. Some times we had issues coming up I think mostly related to cultural differences, but our agent was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were comfortable and the trip was perfect. The hotels are centrally located, very easy to access to the city center. The guide and driver are friendly and nice. We spend a pleasant and amazing journey there.

The trip was great and our agent performed great. We were pleasantly surprised with how responsive they were and with the trip that they planned. Very professional. A previous agent told us we couldn’t pull off a trip with so many stops but it was not a problem and the pace of the trip was good for us. We don’t like sitting still in one spot for too long. The guides in each city did well and a couple were excellent.
