Pattaya

Pattaya, a coastal city known as “Eastern Hawaii”, boasts a unique geographical setting. It’s famous for its beautiful beaches, charming natural scenery, vibrant nightlife, and abundant entertainment. The city also serves as an important transit hub for island-hopping in Thailand, with easy access to Koh Larn, Koh Samet, Koh Chang, and more. With activities like snorkeling, surfing, and waterskiing, Pattaya offers a wealth of aquatic adventures for adrenaline seekers.

  1. Weather
Pattaya has a tropical monsoon climate, but its coastal location makes the overall climate pleasant and the view scenic. The most comfortable month is December, with an average temperature around 16 degrees Celsius, while April and May see higher temperatures averaging around 30 degrees Celsius. The best time to visit Pattaya is from November to February of the next year, followed by June to October.

  2. Popular Attractions
Pattaya Beach: Stretching 40 kilometers along the coastline, Pattaya Beach features stunning underwater scenery. The soft, fine sand combined with the deep blue sea under the blue sky and white clouds creates a breathtaking view. Visitors can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. Additionally, the beach offers a variety of exciting water sports, including jet skiing, parasailing, sea walking, and banana boating.

Pattaya Walking Street: It is a must-visit for tourists, especially vibrant at night. This bustling area is lined with various food stalls, bars, and entertainment venues, creating a lively atmosphere with bright lights flanking the street. Here, you can enjoy affordable seafood feasts, live music performances, and Muay Thai shows. The walking street also features numerous stalls and shops, where you can buy souvenirs and local specialties.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden: Located near Pattaya, this expansive theme park features beautiful artificial lakes, meticulously designed pavilions, platforms, and towers as well as lush greenery. The folk dances and elephant shows are particularly impressive and will leave a lasting impression. If you’re interested in plants, the garden also showcases a variety of rare species.

Pattaya Park Tower: Situated above Jomtien Beach, it is the tallest seaside tower on the eastern coast. Standing at 240 meters, it features a revolving restaurant at the top where you can enjoy meals while taking in the stunning coastline and beautiful views. For those seeking adventure, you can try the bungee jump, leaping from the tower’s peak for an exhilarating rush.

Pattaya Elephant Village: It is a non-profit elephant sanctuary dedicated to the protection of these gentle giants. Here, you can watch elephant shows showcasing their intelligence and agility. If you wish, you can also ride elephants through the nearby jungle, immersing yourself in the beauty of nature.

  1. Shopping
Terminal 21: This mall is themed like an airport terminal, with each floor reflecting the style of different countries. It combines shopping, dining, and entertainment, featuring a wide range of brands, including many niche Thai fashion labels.

Central Pattaya: Located by the Pattaya seaside, it is the largest beachfront shopping center in Asia. The mall is advantageously located, with the Hilton Hotel right upstairs and Pattaya Walking Street at its entrance. With seven floors, it offers a comprehensive selection of retail options, including many local Thai brands, making it an excellent choice for affordable souvenirs.

  1. Transportation Guide
Motorcycles and songthaews (shared taxis) are popular modes of transport in Pattaya. If you plan to stay for several days, renting a motorcycle or car can provide greater flexibility for exploring the area.

This is the second time we plan a trip with Best Asia Tours and we love their service and attention to detail as well as their willingness to make your trip memorable and anything you want possible. Their planning is impecable and very efficient and if anything is not as you expected they will work to make sure it is. we did a 21 day itinerary for 7 including 2 grandmas back on 2018 and we just went back a couple of weeks ago with our daughter for 12 days and had an awesome time. We are already planning the next one. Zoe and Eric who had help us with the travel planning were both amazing their speed to comeback with the itineraries and changes is impressive and not matter how many times you ask them to look at changes or different hotels etc they are always willing to help with the most wonderful attitude . All the guides we had on the different cities and regions have be incredible . I can not recommend them enough. I have traveled al over the world and they are definitively on the top service of the agencies I had used.

Best Asia Tours did a really good job planning our itinerary in Japan. Some times we had issues coming up I think mostly related to cultural differences, but our agent was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were comfortable and the trip was perfect. The hotels are centrally located, very easy to access to the city center. The guide and driver are friendly and nice. We spend a pleasant and amazing journey there.

The trip was great and our agent performed great. We were pleasantly surprised with how responsive they were and with the trip that they planned. Very professional. A previous agent told us we couldn’t pull off a trip with so many stops but it was not a problem and the pace of the trip was good for us. We don’t like sitting still in one spot for too long. The guides in each city did well and a couple were excellent.
