The Vietnam Da Nang International Fireworks Festival began in 2008 and has since become an important cultural event in Vietnam. As the host city for the fireworks competition, Da Nang attracts teams from around the world. This festival not only showcases Vietnam’s cultural characteristics but also serves as an important platform for international fireworks exchange.
The 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF), themed “Made in Unity – Connecting the Globe – Glorious Five Continents”, will be held from June 8 to July 13, offering visitors from around the world a spectacular aerial “sensory feast”.
This year’s festival will feature eight competing teams, including seven international teams from France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Poland, China, and Finland, along with the representative team from Da Nang City, Vietnam. Notably, three new teams from Germany, China, and the USA are set to impress the audience with their stunning performances.
The 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) officially opened on the evening of June 8. The reigning champion, the French team, faced off against the host team from Vietnam in the inaugural match, delivering a stunning display of fireworks, music, and lights that highlighted the culture, friendship, and unity among people worldwide.
After four nights of intense competition, each team showcased their unique techniques and styles, providing audiences with equally impressive fireworks shows.
The judging panel scored the fireworks performances based on strict criteria, including the uniqueness of the concept and theme, the richness of colors, the diversity and intensity of effects, the scale and quality of the displays, and the coordination between the music and the fireworks.
The grand finale of the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, themed “The Rhythm of the Future — Made of Young Generation”, took place on July 13, featuring extraordinary displays from the top teams from China and Finland. This event marked a successful conclusion to the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
In addition to the fireworks competition, the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival featured a variety of related events, including exhibitions and cultural performances held throughout the city. Notable tourist attractions like Sun World Ba Na Hills and Asia Park hosted numerous special festivities, music, and art activities during the fireworks season, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
