Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s largest seaport and the third-largest tourist city, is named after Prince Sihanouk. It is now Cambodia’s premier seaside resort destination.
Here you will find palm-fringed white sandy beaches, emerald-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and island paradises full of a free-spirited vibe. Set sail by boat and begin your coastal adventure in Cambodia.
1.Weather
Due to its coastal location, Sihanoukville tends to be cooler and milder compared to other regions of Cambodia.
The dry season in Sihanoukville runs from November to April and is the perfect time for swimming, diving, sunbathing, and island exploration. Among these months, December to February is especially ideal because daytime temperatures are more comfortable. By March and April, temperatures reach their annual peak with strong sunlight, so it’s important to take precautions such as sun protection and staying hydrated.
From May to October is the rainy season in Sihanoukville, with increased rainfall in the afternoons and evenings, along with high humidity. Sea activities may be limited during this period. However, there are fewer tourists, prices are lower, and it’s also a good time to witness beautiful sunsets after the rain.
