1.Tuk-Tuks
Tuk-tuks are the most common and convenient form of transportation on the streets of Cambodia. No matter where you are, it’s usually easy to find one.
They offer relatively spacious seating, making them convenient for travelers with luggage.
Before getting in, be sure to confirm the destination, fare, and currency (riel or US dollars) with the driver to avoid any misunderstandings upon arrival.
2.Motorcycle Taxis (Moto-Taxis)
Motorcycle taxis are a budget-friendly option in Cambodia and are ideal for short-distance trips without bulky luggage.
However, they tend to be faster and less safe than other options. If you choose this mode of transport, make sure to wear a helmet and keep a close eye on your personal belongings.
3.Taxis
Taxis in Cambodia are mainly found in high-traffic areas such as airports, major hotels, and popular tourist attractions. In other areas, you may need to book one in advance.
The main advantages of taxis are transparent pricing and a higher level of safety.
4.Buses
Cambodia’s public bus system is not well-developed. As of now, Phnom Penh—the capital—has only three bus routes, which cover just a few central areas.
While taking the bus is very cheap, it’s generally not the most convenient option for getting around.
5.Ride-Hailing Apps
In Cambodia, popular ride-hailing apps like Grab, PassAPP, and EXNET TAXI offer convenient options for booking tuk-tuks, taxis, motorcycles, and more. These apps make transportation easy and efficient for both locals and tourists.
6.Vehicle Rentals
Travelers in Cambodia can also choose to rent cars, motorbikes, or bicycles—an excellent option for those planning a more flexible or self-guided trip.
