Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Meals included: Null
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Beijing (centrally located)
Upon arrival, our local guide will meet with you at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport. Then be transferred to your hotel in the city center. Free and easy for the rest of the day, explore the capital city by your own. You will stay in Beijing for 3 nights.
Day 2 Beijing
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Peking Roasted Duck Dinner.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Beijing (centrally located)
After enjoying the breakfast you will walk on Tian’anmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then discover the Forbidden City(closed on Monday), one of the five most famous palaces in the world, where the 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, drive to visit the largest and best preserved imperial garden,The Summer Palace. It was built in late Qing Dynasty as the summer resort for the Empress Dowager Cixi. It’s built according to the famous West Lake and designed with the technique of private gardens in South of Yangtze River.
Tonight, we will arrange you with the local specialty with the best Peking Roasted Duck Dinner as the welcome dinner.
Day 3 Beijing – Mutianyu Great Wall

Today, let’s continue exploring the world-famous Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall, one of the Eight Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As one of the most important military defense facilities in ancient China, it is used to limit the movement of enemy cavalry, protect national security and the stability of people’s production and life. The section is the highlight of the Great Wall. You will take a leisurely cable car (round way) up and down the Great Wall, and explore the incredible great building of human being.
Lunch is arranged with the local Chinese meal.
After Lunch, drive back to the downtown. On the way, you will take a look at the “Bird Nest” and “Water Cube”which are the representative buildings of Olympic Games Beijing 2008 on the bus.
Late this afternoon, we will arrange you with the fantastic and interesting Acrobatic Show at the famous Red Theatre. Acrobatic is considered to be the quintessence of Chinese culture with over 2,000 years.
After the show, drive back to your hotel.
Day 4 Beijing – Xi’an (by bullet train)
Special activity: Leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong

It’s day 4 of your China tour. After breakfast, we will take you to visit the famous Houhai Park, a little slice of how locals live. Normally the locals exercise every day — it’s a good way to know local life. Temple of Heaven, the landmark of Beijing, which was used to pray for good harvest and hold the Heaven Worshiping Ceremony by the emperors in Ming and Qing dynasty. We then take you on a leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong. You will have the chance to see the original residence of the local people and experience their lifestyle. Here is where we make time for lunch.
Then drive to the railway station for the bullet train to the ancient legendary city Xi’an (around 5.5 hours). It is absolutely an unforgettable travel experience of A Tale of Two Cities in One Day. Enjoy the comfortable and modern facilities on the fastest train in China as well as the landscape on the way. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel.You will stay in Xi’an for 2 nights.
Day 5 Xi’an
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

After breakfast, you will start your full day tour in the ancient city. Firstly visit the well-known Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The Terracotta Army was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang’s tomb and to protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that there are over 7,000 life-size Terra-cottar figures and horses buried here.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal.
This afternoon visit the landmark of the city-Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the square pyramid stands at 60 meters high and seven-story tall. It was built to restore the Buddhist scriptures brought by the famous Monk Xuanzang. The story had been rewritten to a famous classic novel, <The Journey to West > . Grand Mosque, a time-honored and large-scale architecture complex, which shows the interpenetration between Islamic belief and Chinese culture. The final stop is the famous Muslim Quarters where you can taste the local delicious snacks.
Day 6 Xi’an – Chengdu (by bullet train)
Special activity: Cycling on Ancient City Wall
Meals: Buffet breakfast, Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Chengdu (centrally located)
After breakfast, drive to visit the Ancient City Wall that was built in Ming Dynasty with a history over 600 years and might be the largest and best-preserved city wall in China. You will take a interesting cycling tour on the massive city wall. Then visit the Square of Bell and Drum Tower where you can see the well-preserved ancient Bell and Drum Tower of Ming Dynasty (Outside visiting only). After that, visit the Former Residence of Family Gao. It is famous for its well-preserved typical historical residence with courtyard. You will also enjoy a traditional puppet show here.
Lunch will be served with the famous Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant. Established in 1936 A.D., it’s one of the most famous dumpling restaurants in Xi’an.
After the tour, drive to take the bullet train to the leisurely city Chengdu. Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the railway station and escort you to the hotel. Overnight in Chengdu.
Day 7 Chengdu
Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Sichuan Hotpot dinner.

This morning after breakfast, start your full day to explore the highlights of Chengdu. Firstly, drive to the visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base where you can see the lovely Giant Panda. Giant Panda is considered to the national treasure of China. The base is a comprehensive center that integrates giant panda breeding, scientific research, education, and tourism. Surrounded by pleasant greenery, it serves as a natural habitat for pandas. Visitors can observe the charming pandas up close, feeling their leisurely lifestyle, making it an essential window for understanding and protecting giant pandas.
Lunch will be served with local Sichuan food.
This afternoon, stroll around famous Jinli Ancient Street. The street is actually an ancient street with a total length of 550 meters that features the traditional former residence of Ming and Qing dynasties style. After that, you will have a break at the local Tea House in the People’s Park and enjoy a cup of local tea there. Having tea at local tea house is one of the most important part for the local people in Chengdu. The final stop today is the famous Chunxi Road. It is the most famous shopping street in Chengdu.
Day 8 Chengdu – Leshan – Chengdu
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Sichuan Hotpot dinner.

Today, you will spend a full day time to discover the world famous Leshan Giant Buddha. You will be transferred (150km, around 2.5 hrs by car) to Leshan to visit the famous Giant Buddha. The Giant Buddha takes around 90 years for the whole project in Tang Dynasty. With a total height of 71 m (233ft), it is considered to be the largest and tallest Buddha statue in the world. You will climb up and down the mountain, visit the Giant Buddha.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal during the tour. After the tour, you will be transferred back to Chengdu. Tonight, we will specially arrange the local famous Sichuan Hotpot food as the dinner for you. Sichuan hotpot food is the most popular food in Chengdu. It is said that Chengdu has approximately 16,000 hotpot restaurants.
Day 9 Chengdu – Guilin (by plane)
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Guilin (downtown)
After breakfast, continue on to explore the famous Sanxingdui Museum and discover the mysterious culture of Ancient Shu Kingdom. The highlight exhibited items including the Bronze Giant Standing Figure,Bronze Masks and Mysterious Bronze Tree. In addition to precious cultural relics excavated in 1986, such as the Bronze Tree of Life, which have been moved to the new museum, nearly 600 other artifacts will also be exhibited for the first time, totaling over 1,500 pieces (sets) of pottery, bronze ware, jade, gold, ivory, and other types of artifacts, tripling the number of originally exhibited artifacts.
Lunch will be served with Sichuan cuisine.
This afternoon, you will be transferred to your departure flight to the fairyland Guilin that features for the breath-taking landscapes and well-preserved ancient town. Upon arrival, be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Guilin. Overnight in Guilin.
Day 10 Guilin – Xingping – Yangshuo
Special activities: Bamboo Rafting downstream the Lijiang River (Yangdi-Xingping), Enjoy the sunset on Wuzhishan Hill
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Yangshuo
This morning after breakfast, drive to Yangdi Pier where you will take the leisurely and interesting bamboo rafting downstream the Lijiang River to Xingping Ancient Town. It takes around 3 hours on the rafting, you can enjoy the fascinating natural view along the Lijiang River and the beautiful countryside. Then visit the ancient town Xingping, a stunning pearl on Lijiang River, which is featured the well-preserved the typical former residence, big old banyan trees, flagging streets. It is considered to be the most beautiful ancient town on Li River.
After that, drive to Yangshuo and stroll around the famous Yangshuo West Street. Continue on to visit the vivid Wuzhishan Hill (Five Fingers Hill) that is considered to be the best site to enjoy the sunset of Lijiang River (depending on the weather).After the tour, drive to check-in at your hotel. Overnight in Yangshuo.
Day 11 Yangshuo – Guilin – Shanghai (by plane)
Special activity: Cycling in the countryside in Yangshuo (1 hour)
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Shanghai (close to the Bund)
This morning, you will take an interesting cycling (1 hour) in the countryside in Yangshuo and explore the beautiful view there. Then drive back to visit the typical karst landform-Reed Flute Cave that is considered to the Art of Nature Museum.The last stop today is the landmark of Guilin-Elephant Trunk Hill. Elevated at 200m, Elephant Truck Hill rises 55m above water surface and measures 108m in length and 100m in width. Lunch will be served with local Chinese food during the trip.
After the tour, drive to the airport for the departure flight to financial center of China, Shanghai. Once there, be picked up and transfer to the hotel.You will stay in Shanghai for 2 nights.
Day 12 Shanghai
Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Special Lunch at LULU Restaurant
Hotel: Decent 4-star or 5-star hotel in Shanghai (close to the Bund)
After breakfast, start your full day tour to explore the metropolis. Shanghai Museum(closed on Monday), one of the TOP 3 museums in China, which features the large collection of bronze articles and rich collections. It’s a good place to learn the history and culture of China. Then stroll around the romantic place the Bund that is a famous waterfront with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles. You can enjoy a beautiful skyline of the city here.
Lunch will be served with the authentic Shanghai cuisine at the famous LULU Restaurant that was opened since 1985.It is highly recommended by the local Shanghaiese.
This afternoon, continue on your city tour. Yu Garden, the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D, which is reputed as the “Stunning Pearl” of Shanghai. Stroll around the close-by bustling Yuyuan Bazaar where you can do some shopping with the little gifts.You will also taste the delicious street food-Long Xiang Baozi (steamed stuffed-bun). After that, stroll around the famous Tianzifang. The place, a very popular site for tourists in Shanghai, which was renovated from the local Stone-Arched House into the trendy boutiques stores, bars, restaurants as well as art studios. Dinner will be on your own expense.
After the tour, drive back to the hotel.
Day 13 Departure from Shanghai

This morning drive around Lujiazui Financial Zone that is considered to the “Wall Street of China” as many international banks and financial organizations gathered here. Then visit the New landmark of Shanghai, Shanghai Tower. With the total height of 632m, it is ranked NO.1 tallest building in China. You will take a high speed elevator up the 118 F Observation Hall where you can get a great bird view of the metropolis.
This afternoon, transfer to the airport for homeward flight (we suggest you book the flight with departure time after 4:00 pm). End your memorable trip in China.
