In the 16-day journey, we will take you explore the top 6 cities in China: Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guilin, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Meals included: Peking Roasted Duck Dinner

Your tour starts upon arrival, our English speaking tour guide and driver will greet you at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport and escort you to your hotel in the downtown of Beijing (We suggest you should book the flight with arrival time before 3:00 pm today).
Tonight, we will arrange for you to experience China’s famous Peking Roasted Duck Dinner at Quanjude Restaurant as the welcome dinner.
Day 2 Beijing
Night Show: Acrobatic Show at Red Theatre

After breakfast, start the full day tour and explore the ancient city. Firstly, we will visit Tian’anmen Square, the largest square city center in the world, featuring the Monument to the People’s Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong claimed the founding of the People’s Republic of China in Tian’anmen Square on October 1, 1949, and people continue to celebrate its anniversary there every year.
Then heads down to the Forbidden City — the largest ancient wooden–structure construction group in the world. Thereafter visit the famous Jingshan Park where you can get a great panoramic view of the whole palace, you’ll want to take your cameras out for this one. We stop for lunch to replenish before the afternoon tour.
This afternoon, continue on to visit the largest imperial garden, the Summer Palace, which was built in late Qing Dynasty as the summer resort for the Empress Dowager Cixi, where we can enjoy the fascinating landscape of the park. Late this afternoon, we will arrange you with the fantastic and interesting Acrobatic Show at the famous Red Theatre. Acrobatic is considered to be the quintessence of Chinese culture with over 2,000 years. After the show, drive back to the hotel safe and sound.
Day 3 Beijing-Mutianyu Great Wall

Today, drive out of Beijing city and explore the world famous Great Wall (Mutianyu Section) which is listed among the 8 wonders of the world. The Great Wall is world famous, known for being an exemplary piece of impressive ancient engineering. Archaeologists say the wall is approximately 21,196 km (13,171 mi) long. If you feel like taking a cable car, they are available on site not included. We then make time for an unforgettable lunch at the foot of Great Wall.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to visit Changling Tomb, the largest tomb of the 13 Ming Tombs which was built for the emperors in Ming Dynasty. It is a good way to get to know the architecture and culture of the mausoleum in ancient China.
On the way back to the hotel, we will pass by the new landmarks of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Bird’s Nest, and Water Cube and see them on the vehicle. Dinner will be your own choice.
Day 4 Beijing-Xi’an (by bullet train)
Special activity: Leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong

It’s day 4 of your China tour. After breakfast, we will take you to visit the famous Houhai Park, a little slice of how locals live. Normally the locals exercise every day — it’s a good way to know local life. We then drive to visit the famous Temple of Heaven, the landmark of Beijing, which was used to pray for good harvest and hold the Heaven Worshiping Ceremony by the emperors in Ming and Qing dynasty. We then take you on a leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong. You will have the chance to see the original residence of the local people and experience their lifestyle. Here is where we make time for lunch.
After lunch, transfer to the railway station and take the bullet train- the fastest rail in China, amazing. It takes around 5.5 hours on the way, the perfect amount of time to enjoy China’s landscapes on the way to the ancient city Xi’an. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our local guide and escorted to your hotel for your 2-night stay in Xi’an.
Day 5 Xi’an

After breakfast, start your full day tour in the ancient city. Firstly visit the well-known Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The Terracotta Army was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang’s tomb and to protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that there are over 7,000 life-size Terra-cottar figures and horses buried here.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, visit the landmark of the city-Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the square pyramid stands at 60 meters high and seven-story tall. It was built to restore the Buddhist scriptures brought by the famous Monk Xuanzang. The story had been rewritten to a famous classic novel, <The Journey to West > . After that, visit the Grand Mosque. It is a time-honored and large-scale architecture complex, which shows the interpenetration between Islamic belief and Chinese culture. Finally, stroll around the famous Muslim Quarters where you can taste the local delicious snacks.
After the tour, drive to your hotel.
Day 6 Xi’an – Chengdu (by bullet train)
Special activity: Cycling on Ancient City Wall.
Meals: Buffet breakfast, Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant.

This morning, continue to explore other spotlights in Xi’an. Firstly visit the Ancient City Wall, which was built in Ming Dynasty with a history over 600 years and might be the largest and best-preserved city wall in China. You will take an interesting cycling tour on the massive city wall. Then visit the Square of Bell and Drum Tower where you can see the well-preserved ancient Bell and Drum Tower of Ming Dynasty (Outside visiting only). After that, visit the Former Residence of Family Gao. It is famous for its well-preserved typical historical residence with courtyard. You will also enjoy a traditional puppet show there.
Lunch will be served the famous Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant which was established in 1,936.It’s one of the most famous dumpling restaurants in Xi’an.
After lunch, drive to take the bullet train to the leisurely and gastronomy city-Chengdu. Once upon your arrival, our local tour guide and driver will pick you up at the railway station and drive you to the hotel. The tour is set to stay in Chengdu for 2 nights.
Day 7 Chengdu

After breakfast, our local guide takes you to see the Giant Pandas, a Chinese national treasure well- preserved at the famous Panda Research Center and Base. Panda’s are iconic in China. In fact, every panda in the world is on loan by China with the agreement that all newborns are returned to restore the gene pool. We then drive back to downtown for lunch.
This afternoon, we continue our tour around the top 6 cities in China and make our way to the famous Wuhou Temple.Constructed in 221 AD (Shuhan Kingdom), it was originally dedicated to commemorating Zhuge Liang, the renowned military strategist of the State of Shu. The temple complex comprises four main parts: the Han Zhaolie Mausoleum (tomb of Liu Bei), the Wuhou Temple, the Huiling (Liu Bei’s tomb), and the Sanyi Temple, all arranged with meticulous planning and featuring ancient architectural styles. Within the temple grounds, a vast collection of historical stone steles, plaques, and couplets from various dynasties are preserved, serving as invaluable physical relics for the study of Three Kingdoms culture. We then visit Jinli Ancient Town, the ancient street spanning over 550 meters. It features the traditional former residence of Ming and Qing dynasties style and the local representative snacks.
Day 8 Chengdu – Leshan – Guilin (by plane)
Special activity: Cruise on the Minjiang River

Today, start your day by taking you on a 150 km (around 2.5 h) journey to Leshan, where we visit the famous Giant Buddha. The Giant Buddha project took around 90 years to finish during the Tang Dynasty. It is 71 m (233ft) tall and it is considered to be the largest and tallest Buddha statue in the world. You will take a leisure cruise on the Minjiang River and get a panoramic view of the Giant Buddha. From here we stop for lunch at a local spot and replenish.
After making our rounds through the Giant Buddha tour, we make our way to the airport for our departure flight to the fairyland city, Guilin. Once there, we get picked up and make our way back to the hotel, overnight in Guilin.
Day 9 Guilin – Longsheng – Guilin

After breakfast, start your tour by picking you up from the hotel and head out for a 2.5 hours car ride through the Longsheng County. Here you will have a full day tour around the fascinating Longji Terraced Rice Field, where magnificence is easily spotted. One of the built-in desktop backgrounds of Windows 7. Later in the day, we tour around and gaze at the city’s iconic architecture, garments and cultural scene at the Zhuang(Ping’an Village) & Yao (Huangluo Village) Minority Villages. We will also enjoy the traditional Long hair Performance in Huangluo Village. Lunch is served and we replenish in Longsheng.
After the tour, drive back to Guilin.
Day 10 Guilin – Yangshuo
Special activity: cruise on Li River
Night Show: Impression of Liusanjie

Today, you make the way to the explore the fascinating Li River. You will drift leisurely on Li River through the water and enjoy the fascinating landscapes on both sides. It is a 4-hour cruise along the picturesque Li River embraced by numerous karst hills. Hereafter, lunch is served on board before arriving at Yangshuo, a small town set in the lush rice paddies and surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks.
After enjoying your buffet style lunch and arriving, you will take a cycling tour of the countryside of Yangshuo and enjoy the fascinating views. We then take you for a stroll and head to Yangshuo West Street where you can buy some souvenirs for your family or friends. We stay at Yangshuo tonight. In the evening, you will watch the amazing Impression of Liusanjie (VIP B2), the traditional singing and dancing performance, directed by Zhang Yimou who was also the director of the opening of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It is the best night show in Guilin.
Day 11 Yangshuo – Guilin – Shanghai (by plane)

This morning, we will take you back to Guilin and first visit the landmark of Guilin-Elephant Trunk Hill. Elevated at 200m, Elephant Truck Hill is a piece of land 55m above water surface, measuring 108m in length and 100m in width. After seeing the fetching sights and sounds of Elephant Trunk Hill, we take a break for lunch.
This afternoon, visit the karst landform known as the Reed Flute Cave.It is a natural limestone cave renowned for its stunning rock formations and breathtaking scenery. With intricate stalactites and stalagmites, the cave is a masterpiece of nature’s artistry. A visit to the cave is a journey into the magical underworld, offering visitors a unique experience of nature’s wonders.
After the tour, drive to Guilin Airport for our flight to the financial center Shanghai. Once there, you will be picked up and escorted to your hotel where we will stay in Shanghai for 3 nights.
Day 12 Shanghai

After breakfast, start your full day tour to explore the metropolis. Firstly visit the famous Shanghai Museum(closed on Monday), one of the TOP 3 museums in China, which features the large collection of bronze articles and rich collections. It’s a good place to learn the history and culture of China. Then stroll around the romantic place the Bund which is a famous waterfront with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles. You can enjoy a beautiful skyline of the city here.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal at the famous Lvbolang Restaurant.
Then visit the famous Yu Garden which is the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D. It is reputed as the “Stunning Pearl” of Shanghai. Stroll around the close-by bustling Yuyuan Bazaar where you can do some shopping with the little gifts.You will also taste the delicious street food-Long Xiang Baozi (steamed stuffed-bun). After that, stroll around the famous Tianzifang, a very popular site for tourists in Shanghai, which was renovated from the local Stone-Arched House into the trendy boutiques stores, bars, restaurants as well as art studios. Dinner will be on your own expense.
Day 13 Shanghai – Zhujiajiao Water Town – Shanghai
Special activity: Boat trip in Zhujiaojiao Water Town

Today, your city tour starts with a drive to visit an iconic landmark of Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. We will take a high-speed elevator up the 263m observation hall where we can get a great bird’s eye view of the metropolis. From there we drive around Lujiazui Financial Zone which is considered to the “Wall Street of China” as many international banks and financial organizations gathered here. Lunch is served.
This afternoon, we drive up to visit the ancient water town Zhujiajiao, located at the suburban area of Shanghai. It features the well-preserved residence of Qing Dynasty style, stone bridges, flagging streets and its original lifestyle. The tour will then take a leisurely boat trip to explore water town– magical. After touring water town we drive back to the hotel.
Day 14 Shanghai – Hong Kong (by plane)

Say goodbye to Mainland China. You will take a morning flight to the world famous financial center Hong Kong. Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the airport and starst your city tour in Hong Kong.
This afternoon, you will spend a half day time to explore Hong Kong Island. The tour firstly makes a stop at the Victoria Peak. It is perhaps Hong Kong’s most popular attraction among first-time visitors — it’s a must see. You will then take a peak tram, pulled by steel cables, climbing 373 meters up to the peak. We look down from the Peak, an impressive spectacular view of the surrounding city skyline, here is where you can catch the world-famous Victoria Harbor. From here we head over and visit the fascinating Repulse Bay which is considered to the Oriental Hawaii — stunning. Then continues on to visit the Aberdeen, the local famous fishing village, which is well-known for the seafood and their lifestyle. The last stop of the day is the Stanley Market where you can shop, and it’s a great place to buy small souvenirs. After the tour, drive to your hotel and check-in. You will stay in Hong Kong for 2 nights.
Day 15 Hong Kong

Today, continue on to visit the famous Lantau Island, the biggest island of Hong Kong. Once there, we will visit the well-known Po Lin Monastery and the Bronze Giant Buddha, also known as Tian Tan Buddha. From here we’ll catch the one way cable car, which is included in the tour as well. The Bronze Giant Buddha is made from 202 pieces of bronze and is of 34m (112ft) tall, regarded as the largest bronze sitting Buddha in the world. Many visitors and religious people come here to pray for good luck and happiness. After our tour, we will be driven back to the hotel.
Day 16 Departure from Hong Kong

It’s the ending day of the trip. You are free to do as you wish until the appointed time of departure. Then our local tour guide and driver will escort you to Hong Kong International Airport for your homeward flight.
