The S.E.A. Aquarium in Singapore, located on Sentosa Island, is one of the largest aquariums in the world, housing over 100,000 marine creatures.
The aquarium features 49 ecological zones, showcasing a wide array of marine life that will captivate visitors and highlight the vibrant diversity of the ocean world. It is an ideal destination for families with children to explore and learn.
The marine life within the aquarium is arranged by geographic regions. From the Karimata Strait and Java Sea, the Malacca Strait and Andaman Sea, the Bay of Bengal and Lakshadweep Sea, the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, East Africa, to the South China Sea, it presents an ocean journey spanning the entire globe.
Maritime creatures are swimming on the walls or under the floors like three-dimensional murals with various types of fish and corals intertwined to create different oceanic themes. The touring experience feels like visiting an underwater gallery, allowing visitors to traverse the world’s oceans in a few hours.
One of the highlights of the S.E.A. Aquarium is its massive underwater viewing window, featuring the largest single acrylic panel in the world. This provides visitors with a spectacular view as if diving deep into the ocean. Standing in front of this enormous glass window, you’ll be amazed by the wondrous underwater realm. Here, you can observe various sharks, dolphins, giant rays, and vibrant tropical fish swimming among the coral reefs, creating the sensation of being in a real underwater world.
Here, you’ll find vibrant corals that resemble plants but are actually colonial animals. There’s also the giant manta ray, often called the “devil ray” but known for its gentle nature. Other fascinating exhibits include the fierce moray eels, glowing jellyfish that drift like watercolor paintings, playful dolphins, the giant Pacific octopus, the “long-nosed” seahorse, and schools of sharks that combine a formidable appearance with graceful elegance.
Additionally, the aquarium offers various interactive activities, where close encounters and immersive learning experiences complement each other. These activities inspire visitors to actively engage with and protect the world’s oceans.
If time allows, visitors can also try dining underwater and experiencing an overnight stay at the aquarium.
