If you are hesitant about diving but still wish to explore the beautiful underwater world of the Philippines, this ocean park in Manila is a destination you should not miss.
Manila Ocean Park is a world-class marine park covering an area of 8,000 square meters. The park is home to 277 species of marine life from the Philippines and other parts of Southeast Asia, including jellyfish, sharks, stingrays, and more. From the colorful schools of tropical fish to the mysterious deep-sea invertebrates, with a total of over 14,000 creatures, Manila Ocean Park showcases the incredible diversity of marine life.
The park’s most striking feature is a 220° curved underwater tunnel. Walking through it, you can embark on a 25-meter journey into a dream of the blue ocean: above and on both sides flows the water, below lie thriving coral reefs, while sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles glide gracefully by… You don’t need to dive to experience the vastness and serenity of the ocean up close.
If that’s not enough, you can also: visit the Shark Area to see schools of massive sharks gliding right before your eyes; explore the Coral Reef Fish Area to watch colorful fish darting in and out of vibrant coral and rocky crevices; or step into the Jellyfish Area to admire jellyfish of various colors and shapes gracefully drifting in a romantic setting of lights and music…
The park also features the Bird Garden and World of Creepy Crawlies, where visitors can observe various land animals. Among all the exhibits, the most unique is the “Trails to Antarctica – Penguin Exhibit”, which brings a taste of Antarctic wildlife to this tropical city. Adorable penguins waddle right by your feet—you can feed them and even interact with them for photos.
Beyond observing a wide variety of creatures, Manila Ocean Park is also a lively interactive playground.
You can soak your feet in the warm water of the Fish Spa, where hundreds of tiny fish nibble at dead skin, offering a uniquely relaxing experience.
Bring your children to the ocean-themed water park designed for families, featuring kids’ water houses, fun slides, splash zones, and water cannons. Here, you can enjoy refreshing water fun while strengthening parent-child bonds.
During the Christmas season, a limited-time Christmas Village opens, with snowy wooden huts and colorful lights creating a European holiday atmosphere—perfect for photos and soaking in the festive cheer.
