- Haeundae Coastal Train
The Haeundae Coastal Train is a European-style retro train with all seats facing the sea. It is a sightseeing train that offers breathtaking views of the East Busan coastline along the route. Additionally, it serves as a convenient mode of transportation between Haeundae, Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong. -
Haeundae Sky Capsule Train
The Haeundae Sky Capsule Train is a capsule-shaped mini train that runs on elevated tracks 7–10 meters above the ground. The train comes in vibrant colors like red, yellow, green, and blue. Within its cozy carriages, passengers can enjoy a leisurely, elevated view of the ocean, making for a romantic and fun experience.
The capsule train is a monorail that runs along a 2-kilometer route between Mipo and Cheongsapo. The journey takes about 30 minutes, offering picturesque scenery throughout the ride. No matter which direction you look, the views are equally captivating.
The Mipo Station is a bustling station adjacent to Haeundae. If you desire a quieter experience, you can opt to start from Cheongsapo Station. After arriving at Mipo Station, you can head to Haeundae Beach. From there, you can hike back to Cheongsapo and enjoy the scenic views along the way, often referred to as South Korea’s “Little Kamakura”. It’s an excellent travel route option.
It’s best to book the capsule train in advance. The one-way ticket price varies depending on the number of passengers. Each carriage can accommodate up to four adult passengers, but it’s recommended to have two people per carriage for a more relaxed experience and to avoid feeling rushed when taking photos.
- Gyeongsangbuk-do Coastal Train
The Gyeongsangbuk-do Coastal Train has a total of four stations, with two stops along the way. Each stop is well worth getting off to explore and take memorable photos. Alternatively, you can have some photos taken with trains passing by at the stops. Either way, the results are stunning.
