Day 1 Airport – Dambulla
Welcome to Sri Lanka, the“Stunning Pearl”of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up and transferred to Dambulla. Overnight in Dambulla.
Day 2 Dambulla – Sigiriya – Kandy
Today, you will depart from your hotel and embark on a 4-hour drive to Sigiriya. The Sigiriya Rock Fortress, perched atop a towering rust-red granite monolith in the city of Sigiriya, is renowned as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Standing approximately 200 meters tall, this aerial palace was originally sculpted into the shape of a lion, though only the lion’s body remains today due to weathering. Constructed over 18 years by King Kasyapa of the Moriya Dynasty as a defensive stronghold against political rivals, the fortress features elevated gardens, reservoirs, and other sophisticated structures. In 1982, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stands as the pinnacle of Sri Lanka’s “Cultural Triangle.”

The Sigiriya Rock hike takes approximately 2–3 hours and reaches an elevation of 377 meters. From the summit, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Sri Lanka’s pristine natural landscapes.
If you have limited stamina or feel unwell, you may arrange with your driver to return to the hotel early. The hotel’s surroundings also offer opportunities to experience Sri Lanka’s ecological environment.
Later, drive to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s cultural and religious heartland, which is famed as a Buddhist sacred city and served as the final capital of the Sinhalese Kingdom. Upon arrival, check into your hotel in Kandy.
Day 3 Kandy – Ella
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, head for Ella. On the way, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, which is renowned for its vast array of plants and flowers. Established by the British, this garden boasts a wide variety of rare and native plant, tree, and shrub species. It also houses a rich diversity of bird species, a spacious lake, and numerous other scenic elements. Visitors can unwind in the serene atmosphere and explore the garden via multiple walking trails.
After the visit to the botanical garden, take a train to Ella. The train ride from Kandy to Ella is truly breathtaking. As one of the most beautiful train rides in the world, you’ll be treated to magnificent views of tea plantations, hills, and valleys on this journey.
Upon arrival in Ella, check into the hotel and relax for the evening. You’ll spend the night at the hotel in Ella and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 4 Ella – Udawalawe – Colombo
After breakfast at the hotel, travel to Udawalawa. On the way, visit Nine Arch Bridge. Situated on the Demodara Loop railway line, it stretches 91 meters in length and stands 24 meters tall. The nine graceful arches, coupled with the surrounding environment of dense jungle and agricultural fields, render the Nine Arch Bridge a picturesque scenic spot. Behind the railway, the forest thrives in lush abundance, while beneath the bridge, there are extensive tea plantations where tea bushes are growing vigorously. Next, travel to Little Adam’s Peak. Take a leisurely hike up the mountain trail of Little Adam’s Peak. The process is relaxed and enjoyable, and once you reach the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view, making all your efforts more than worthwhile. Ella in Sri Lanka is globally renowned for its awe-inspiring scenery and landscapes, and Little Adam’s Peak is an unmissable attraction among them. The stunning vistas there never fail to captivate and move every visitor who comes.
After that, head to Udawalawe National Park for a safari adventure. It is a protected area in Sri Lanka and serves as a crucial habitat for elephants and water birds. Located at the border between Uva Province and Sabaragamuwa Province, the park was declared a national park in 1972 with the aim of protecting catchment areas and providing a sanctuary for wildlife. Udawalawe National Park is home to a large number of elephants, as well as sloth bears and various bird species. On this day, you can fully explore the park and observe the wildlife in their natural habitats.
Following the safari, make your way to Colombo, the commercial metropolis of Sri Lanka. Upon arrival in Colombo, check into your hotel, have dinner, and spend the night in the city.
Day 5 Colombo – Departure
Today, after enjoying your breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to the airport for your journey back home, marking the end of your memorable Sri Lankan adventure.
