If your country is not eligible for visa-free entry, you will need to apply for the appropriate visa in advance to ensure smooth entry into Sri Lanka.
1.Visa Types
Tourist Visa (1 month): This visa allows a single entry into Sri Lanka, with a maximum stay of 30 days. It is ideal for short-term tourism, vacations, or visiting family and friends.
Tourist Visa (6 months): This visa permits two entries, with each stay lasting up to 60 days. It is suitable for travelers who plan to make round trips within a short period.
Business Visa (6 months): This visa also permits two entries, with each stay lasting up to 60 days. It is intended for business inspections, short-term work, or other professional purposes.
Transit Visa (2 days): This visa allows a single entry and is applicable for travelers transiting through Sri Lanka.
2.Visa Application
Sri Lanka currently implements an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system. It is recommended to apply via the official website up to 3 months in advance for a convenient and fast process.
